ENTRY METHODS

To enter, individuals must upload a picture or video of their dog playing with a Chuckit! toy to Chuckit!’s Facebook page or to Twitter using the hashtag #ChuckitChallenge2020. Entrants must ensure that their profiles are public.

The independent judge will choose a selected number of finalists in June who will make it through to the public vote stage. The finalists with the most public votes by the closing date will win.

VALID ENTRIES

Any entries which are incomplete, incorrect, incomprehensible, or not received by Chuckit! by the due deadline will be void.

The winner must claim their prize by Friday 14th August, or another winner will be selected.

In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of any answers given by entrants, or the operation of any part of the competition the decision of Chuckit! shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Valid entries must not show or attempt to show competitor products to that of Chuckit!

We have set a limitation to one vote per Facebook user per day to make sure that people cannot vote for their favourite multiple times in one day. Any member of the public is allowed one vote in a 24hr period and this is based on PST time, which means that voting refreshes at 8am every day.

PRIZES

Chuckit! will use an independent judging panel to choose the finalists.

Chuckit! reserves the right to change the judging panel at any given moment during the competition.

Chuckit! will open voting via the Chuckit! Facebook page where the public can vote for their favourite finalist to be the winner.

Two runners up will be entitled to the prize of a dog hamper.

The top prize will be a dog-friendly holiday worth £1,000 from Forest Holidays. 

The winning dog and their owner will also be invited to take part in a press shoot. If willing to participate, the winner must be available at a time and location that will be determined by Chuckit!. Chuckit! will provide up to £50 towards travel expenses.

The winner will be notified on the date the winning entry is announced — Sunday 28th July 2020 — and will be given until 9pm, Friday 14^th August 2020 to claim their prize. Failure to respond within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize and another winner may be selected. However, Chuckit! will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner to ensure this does not happen.

SPOT PRIZE GIVEAWAYS

The ‘spot prize giveaway’ competitions are open to anyone over the age of 18, except employees (and their families) of Chuckit! and anyone connected with the competition.

Each spot prize giveaway will be announced on Chuckit’s Facebook and Twitter pages on nominated days throughout the duration of the Chuckit! Challenge.

Entries to the competition are valid through either Facebook or Twitter but there will only be one overall winner picked at random from across both channels.

It’s come to our attention that there have been some concerns over the voting mechanic in our Chuckit! Challenge, and we would like to take this opportunity to reassure all our fans.

I’m able to vote more than once in a day, is it working properly?

They’ve been working so hard spreading the word and getting all their friends and furry fans to sup-paw-t them over the last month, so we’re thrilled that they can now look forward to a well-earned break − with the £1,000 holiday with our friends at Forest Holidays. Finally, we want to thank all of you for voting and getting involved in the #ChuckitChallenge 2018, and for your patience while we conducted an audit into the voting stage.

In the interest of fairness and transparency, we took all comments and feedback regarding the competition on board and have spent two weeks undertaking the audit of the votes that were cast to ensure all allegations regarding voting issues were investigated.

We have explained how this process was undertaken and the outcomes below:

-       The secure, well-recognised and established voting platform WooBox allows us to export results from the voting stage in a spreadsheet. In response to queries regarding the data this platform gathers from voters, we’d like to reassure everyone that all votes are anonymous and the only details accessible within this export are:

• A randomly generated ‘user ID’ code for each voter
• The date and time the anonymous votes were cast
• The ip address (which lets you identify vague geographic areas of voters, for example, ‘London, UK’.)
• The vote that was cast (ie, the dog’s name) and the corresponding vote index (ie, option 1, 2 or 3).

-       No additional data has been gathered, and therefore no additional data can be stored.

-       In response to questions about the robustness of the ‘one vote per Facebook user per day’ limit, we used the export to run a cross-check of individual voter ID numbers with the dates their votes were cast. In all of the instances we cross-checked, there were no votes cast within the same 24 hour period.

-       To clarify, in instances where users cleared their cookies or used a different browser, they may have been able to view the voting page again, where it would appear they were able to vote again. However, our audit has proven that none such votes registered when WooBox refreshed at 8am each day.

-       In instances where voters reported seeing other contestants’ vote counts increase when they were voting for their favourite, this was due to high voting volumes and individual browser settings which meant the voting results were not always recorded in real time. Again, this was rectified when WooBox refreshed at 8am each day.

-       In response to queries regarding fraudulent votes, we audited IP addresses and dates to check that no automated voting in large numbers has occurred, and to again ensure that no votes had been cast within the same 24 period. All of the audited votes that were cast were found to fully comply with the rules outlined in the Chuckit! Challenge Ts and Cs. None exceeded usual permitted voting limits and none had suspicious IP addresses to suggest fraudulent or fake accounts infiltrated the competition.

We thank you all again for your patience while we conducted this audit, and hope these results reassure you that the process has been fair and compliant with all rules outlined in the Ts and Cs.

Still going mutts about their win, we presented the duo with their prizes at Hampden Park in Eastbourne last week. Nikki and Tilly chose their Pets Pyjamas holiday to be at the scenic Edistone Barn in Hartland− a three bed barn conversion with a large enclosed garden. Boasting plenty of space to run around and play, it was pawfect for Staffy Tilly and her cousin and best furry friend Ruby to explore.

To really sniff out the beautiful sights that Devon has to offer though, Nikki and Tilly em-bark-ed on an eight mile walk along the South West coastal path. With weary paws and tired owners, it was time to take a well-earned break for a quick drink, where Tilly chose a delicious classic bowl of water after pawing through her choices!

Making the most of the wonderful walkies on offer, the duo then had a great time trotting down the quiet country lanes, along the winding footpaths and bridleways, and even making a splash doing some doggy paddle in the streams!

After another fun filled day, Tilly was understandably dog-tired, so it was time for a big rest back at the barn.

With legs rested and batteries recharged, Westward Ho! Beach was a top tourist spot they’d have been barking mad to miss. The picturesque stretch of beach was not only perfect for Tilly to swim and splash, but an ideal spot for Nikki to do some socialising too with other owners in this dog-friendly walkers’ paradise. The dogs played and explored the beach for hours – and even the grey great british weather couldn’t stop play!  

Of course, no doggy holiday is complete without Chuckit! goodies.Nikki made sure they took Tilly’s fur-vourites with them - her Kick Fetch, Heliflight and Max Glow Zipflight, so there were always plenty of toys to keep the pooches entertained on their travels.

We are so glad to see that these pup-stars enjoyed their prize after all of their hard work during our competition last year, and we can’t wait to see where this year’s top dogs, Sarah and Tag, choose for their Pets Pyjamas howl-iday next year…

The top doggy duo got a massive 2024 votes, and have scooped themselves an amazing dog-friendly holiday with Pets Pyjamas as well as getting their paws on a host of our brand new toys, including the Hydro and Mountain Rope range which only launched earlier this year.

And if their winning pho-dog-raphy is anything to go by, we can’t wait to see their holiday snaps too!

ENTRY
1.1 Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over unless otherwise specified.
1.2 Employees of Chuckit! and any associated group companies and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Any such entries will be invalid.
1.3 The closing time for entries is 8th February 2017, 11.59pm GMT. Any entries received after this time will be disregarded.
1.5 Entry to the competition must be by the applicable method and in accordance with the deadlines as indicated.
1.6 No multiple, bulk, automated, machine assisted, third party, syndicate or other group entries will be accepted.  We shall disqualify any entries which, in our reasonable opinion, appear to have used any of these entry methods.

ENTRY METHODS
2.1 Entry is by Facebook or Twitter only.
2.2 To be entered into the competition, entrants must post a picture of their furry friend getting fit to the Chuckit! Facebook page using the hashtag #ChuckitFit or to @ChuckitUK using the hashtag #ChuckitFit.

VALID ENTRIES

3.1 Any entries showing or attempting to show competitor products to those of Chuckit! will not be valid for entry.
3.2 Any entries which are incomplete, incorrect, incomprehensible, or not received by Chuckit! by the due deadline will be void.
3.3 In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of any answers given by entrants, or the operation of any part of the competition the decision of Chuckit! shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.4 At our discretion, we may elect to withdraw entrants that remove a follow, like, tweet or other preference that is required as an entry.

PRIZES
4.1 Chuckit! will select one winner who will receive the following prizes, a - A two pack of Ultra Balls, a Max Glow Launcher and Tennis Ball, a Rugged Flyer, a Kick Fetch and a Max Glow Erratic Ball.

4.2 The winner will be notified on the date the winning entry is selected, 9th February 2017, or as soon as practical thereafter. You will have a specified fixed time period of 14 days to claim your prize. Failure to respond within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize although Chuckit! will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner to ensure this does not happen.

In addition, by entering the competition you are agreeing to Chuckit! using this content in any future marketing activity within press and social media.

Having been chosen as finalists by our top panel of doggy judges, beating over 350 other fetch-tastic entries, it was down to the public vote on Facebook to decide who deserved to be the leader of the pack and win the coveted title of the ultimate Chuckit! Champ.

The ‘wet dog wonder’ and ‘most creative catch’ put up a fur-ocious fight for first place, but Tilly, representing the ‘biggest fail’ category, sniffed out success and achieved a furry-tail ending, getting her paws on a pet-acular range of brand new Chuckit! toys, and a holiday for her and owner Nikki.

Nikki says: “I take so many pictures of Tilly playing all the time so when I saw the competition I couldn’t resist! I never imagined I’d make it into the final, and certainly never expected to win! We’re over the moon. It’s been such an exciting experience for us and the prizes from Chuckit! are amazing.”

We spent our time meeting lots of new fur-iends, showing off our pawsome Chuckit! toys and we even found time to launch our brand new Chuckit!
